Que 1. How old are Margie and Tommy?

Ans: Margie is 11 year old and Tommy is 13 year old.

Ans: She wrote,"Today Tommy found a real book!"

Ans: Telebook is a soft copy of our book.

Ans: It was right next to her bedroom. She have no classmates.

Que 7. What subjects did Margie and Tommy learn?

Ans: Margie learnt geogrqphy and maths subjects. Tommy learnt history and Maths.

    Ans: They refer to the people of the old 

             times.

    (ii) What does 'regular ' mean here?

     Ans: Here, regular refer to the 

              mechanical teacher.

    (iii) What is it contrasted with? 

     Ans: It is contrasted with regular 

             teacher and a man.

Question 3. Answer each of these questions  in a short paragraph(about 30 words).

Que 1. What kind of teachers did Margie and Tommy have? 

Ans: Margie and Tommy had a mechanical teacher  they did not have man teacher. They were taught on computers and television screen.

Que 2. Why did Margie's mother send for the county inspector?

Ans: Margie's mother sent for county inspector because the mechanical teacher was not functioning properly. It was taking test after test of geogrqphy and Margie had been doing worse and worse.

Que 3. What did he do?

Ans: He slowed down the mechanical teacher's speed upto an average ten-year level. The mechanical teacher's speed was controlled and adjusted according to the level of Margie.

Que 4. Why was Margie doing badly in geogrqphy? What did the county inspector do to help her?

Ans: Margie had been doing badly in geogrqphy. This was because the mechanical teacher was very fast in displaying the questions. The county inspector adjusted its speed up to an average ten-year level. Thus,the mechanical teacher's speed was controlled.

Que 5. What had once happened to Tommy's teacher?

Ans: Tommy's teacher was taken away for nearly a month because the history sector had blanked out completely.

Que 6. Did Margie have regular days and hours for school? If so,why?

Ans: Yes,Margie had regular days and hours for school because he mother said little girls learned better if they learned at regular hour.

Que 7. How does Tommy describe the old kind of school?

Ans: Tommy says that the old school were different. They had a special building and all the kids went there to study. The learned lesson together in a classroom.

Que 8. How does he describe the old kind of teachers?

Ans: Here says that the old teachers did not live in the house. They had a special building and all the kids went there. They gave homework to students.
